About Me

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (License # 46044) and have ave worked in with individuals and families in clinical and social work settings for over 20 years. I consider myself as a guide of sorts.  Guidance to me is about curiosity.  I utilize the skills that I have learned through my journeys to help you look at, assess and decision-make in this moment.

I received my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Meridian University, in Petaluma, California. I am a certified yoga instructor (200 hours) and have studied mindfulness and meditation extensively.  I also certified as a Batterers' Intervention Specialist in the state of California(2004-2007). In addition to researching the constantly evolving understanding of the brain and human behavior, I  practice deep listening in natural spaces to support self-awareness and inquiry.  I am a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT), and the Redwood Empire Chapter of CAMFT.

To be alive is to accumulate loss.  As best I can, I pay attention to the navigation of difficult passages, and infuse my work as a therapist with my own learning, and deep compassion for failure, loss, grief, and the complexity of relationships.  When I am not working in the counseling realm, I love to pass the time with laughter, cooking, learning, yoga, exploring in nature, and playing with family and friends.
